How to Request an Appraisal

Appraisal costs and completion timelines are built specifically to the scope of work for each client’s individual needs and the level of detail required to provide adequate understanding. You will need to provide:

  • The intended use or need for your appraisal
  • Effective date of the opinion of value (current value versus a date of death for a retrospective value)
  • Property specific details such as the legal description(s) to be appraised (can be found on your tax statements) to determine the location, size, and complexity of your property.
  • Details related to any improvements or buildings located on the property
  • Additional intended users of the appraisal, such as a spouse, siblings, or an attorney
  • Any purchase offers or sale details for the 3-year timeframe preceding the appraisal effective date
